What we collect
When you contact us or book a call, we may receive your name, contact details, appointment details and the information you choose to provide. Please do not include patient-identifiable information in an introductory booking.
When you use our pharmacy service, we may also process your delivery address, order and prescription history, relevant health information and payment confirmation. We do not store full card details. This information website does not provide patient accounts, health questionnaires or payment checkout.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, assess whether a medicine is clinically appropriate, dispense and deliver orders, verify identity and prescriptions, meet legal and regulatory record-keeping duties, and respond to feedback or complaints.
Depending on the purpose, we rely on steps needed to provide our services, legal obligations, legitimate interests in administering enquiries, or consent where applicable. Health information is processed where necessary for healthcare and pharmacy services under duties of confidentiality, or another applicable legal condition.
Who we share it with
Information may be shared with our pharmacists and pharmacy team, delivery couriers (only what’s needed for delivery), and, where required by law or for your care, your GP or regulators such as the GPhC or MHRA. We never sell your data.
WhatsApp enquiries
You can choose to contact us through WhatsApp. Your phone number and the messages you send are processed so we can respond. Please keep initial enquiries general and avoid sending prescription or personal health information until our team advises you. WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies when using its service.
Bookings and external services
Our appointment booking service is provided through Google Calendar. The embedded calendar is loaded only when you choose to view available times. Information you submit there is handled by Google and shared with us to manage your appointment. See Google’s privacy policy, including information about international data processing.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as necessary for its purpose and applicable legal, professional and record-keeping requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. Some prescription and controlled-drug records have specific requirements; a single two-year period does not apply to all pharmacy records. You can contact us for information about the retention period for your records.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your data, request deletion where legally possible, restrict certain processing, object to certain uses and request data portability where applicable. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.
Contact rx@swiftrx.uk to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
